As your trustee, I was instrumental in choosing the new association management software system, Impexium, that has been implemented by the AANR office. This software replaces software that was built in the 1980s. This software streamlines the management of membership addition and renewals and provides leadership with the ability to easily communicate with our membership.
The committee, membership marketing, that I chair has been very active. I am honored to be joined on this committee by a number of people that care enough about AANR to want to meet twice every month. During the past six months, we have worked on ways to help AANR’s financial problems, as well as ways to increase membership. Some of our current initiatives are ways to help the growth of current non-landed clubs and ways to help members in parts of our countries where there are no landed clubs to visit. We are also investigating a way to have AANR host a social media platform so that AANR members can have a safe way to meet and communicate with one another. We are constantly looking for new ways to ways to attract new members and retain current members. Please contact me with your ideas at karen.lahey@aanr.com.
